For some people this can feel like the hardest part - making that first phone call or sending that first email.

I’m mindful it can feel difficult to meet with a psychotherapist for the first time.  Discussing your most personal worries and concerns with someone who is effectively a stranger can be a big barrier preventing you from getting the help you need.  For this reason, I offer a free 30-minute informal meeting to help you make that first step.

The initial consultation usually lasts approximately 30 minutes.  The purpose of this meeting is for me to understand what has brought you to therapy, I’ll explain a bit about psychodynamic therapy, how I work and a chance for you to ask me any questions.

The first step is for you to contact me by email or by phone (see the contact page for details) so that I can book you in for an initial consultation appointment.

Appointments can be scheduled for some mornings, afternoons or evenings.
